Store policy
Just a few things worth knowing before you shop at Luova. Nothing scary, I promise. If something isn't clear, just ask!
Sales are final
All sales are final, with a couple of exceptions.
- If you are charged twice for the same item on the Marketplace, let me know and I'll sort it out.
- Inworld, you are protected from accidental repeat purchases. If you try to buy the exact same item again, you'll be refunded automatically.
- The ownership check is done per item, not per outfit or body pack. If you already own one body version and buy another, the vendor won't stop you, so please check the body before paying.
- Store credit and gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged back into Lindens.
Before you buy
A couple of things are worth checking before you hit Pay.
- Try the demo whenever one is available. It's free, and it's the best way to make sure the item works for your body and that you actually like it before buying.
- Gifting someone? Check the details first. Make sure you've entered the right username and selected the right body pack. Gifts are delivered directly to the person you choose, and unfortunately I can't undo a gift sent to the wrong avatar.
Store credit
Store credit is my way of saying thank you for supporting Luova. Here's how it works:
- Earn 5% back in store credit on full-price inworld purchases, or 10% while wearing the Luova group tag.
- Store credit can be used on full-price items. It cannot be used alongside sale pricing, member pricing, or gift purchases.
- Store credit belongs to the avatar it was issued to and cannot be transferred.
- Store credit cannot be used on collaboration or charity items. Collaborations are usually marked Luova x the other store's name on the advert, and charity items are clearly indicated on the vendor. Gift card credit still works on them.
Starting January 1, 2027, store credit will expire after 6 months.
Your existing balance on January 1, 2027 will remain available until July 1, 2027. Any new store credit earned from January 1 onward will expire 6 months after it is issued. Expired store credit will simply be removed from your balance.
The Luova group
Joining the Luova group costs a one-time L$250. The joining fee is non-refundable. As a group member, you:
- Can claim L$250 in store credit every month.
- Earn 10% back in store credit on full-price inworld purchases while wearing the Luova group tag, instead of the usual 5%.
- Get early access to news, including new releases and sales before they're announced elsewhere.
New releases and sales
New releases have a little time before they can appear in sale events.
- A new full-price event release stays exclusive for 6 months before it may appear in a sale event.
- After 3 months, new variations or retextures using the same mesh may appear in sales.
- Items released specifically for a sale event are already discounted, so their price generally won't change much when they appear in future sales.
Item permissions
Most Luova items are Copy and Modify, No Transfer.
Gacha items are the exception. These are No Copy, Modify, Transfer.
Sometimes an item may show as No Modify because it contains a script. This doesn't necessarily mean you can't customize it. You can still make adjustments through the item's own menu, within Second Life's limitations.
My work, and yours
Everything in Luova is made by me, including the meshes and textures, and everything is created exclusively for Second Life. I retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to my work.
When you buy something from Luova, you're buying a personal license to use it inside Second Life. Wear it, style it, photograph it, decorate with it, and enjoy it!
What you can't do is:
- Copy, share, redistribute or resell the files.
- Take the mesh or textures outside Second Life.
- Extract, reverse engineer or re-upload any part of an item.
- Use my work to create or sell derivative products.
Content theft is taken seriously. If my work is stolen, I will pursue it through Linden Lab's DMCA process and, where appropriate, other available avenues.
My work is exclusive to Second Life. If you ever spot a Luova mesh or texture somewhere outside Second Life, please let me know. A quick message can make a huge difference.
